Rod mill for Australian client successfully finished by SteelWorks Fabrication Corp.
The shell of rod mill project is to supply to client of Australian client. The fabrication processing is inspected by the Supervisor which is dispatched by client.It is very strict for the processing of weldingand the appearance quality requirements.
SteelWorks Fabrication Corp. studied the technical requirement and requesting of standards before the fabricating of shell. Arranged the technicians to discuss with the buyer's party to the determination of welding standard to be as per AS1554.5, Australian standard.
Because AWS D1.1 and European EN ISO 15614.1 standard are used to be applied in the fabricating processes before, the new requirement need a complete new PQR and WPS, and the standard AS1554.5 requesting the testing of welders under the requirement of standards to identification of the welder welding level, In order to comply with the requirement of Australian standard, SWFC arranged relevant testing and evaluation of personnel, confirm welding method and groove forms. In the fabricating process, each processing step is strictly followed the requirement, e.g. cutting of plates, rolling of shell, welding of shell, grinding etc.. After the efforts of the team, the quality of product rod mill shell complete satisfied the requirement of contract..
