Since the implementation of the "14th Five-Year Plan", NHI has actively responded to the call of the state, taking "Made in China to Create in China" as the strategic goal of the enterprise, and is committed to achieving technological breakthroughs in mining, metallurgy, tunnel engineering, bulk material handling and other fields. Looking back on the brilliant achievements in recent years, the scientific and technological innovation achievements of the NHI are remarkable. On April 26th 2022, China's first 100% domestic shield machine started smoothly in the East extension line of Shenyang Metro Line 1, marking a major transformation in the field of shield machines in China from relying on imports to independent production. On September 4th 2023, China's first full-section mining machine developed for potash salt mine successfully rolled off the line in the North Heavy Industry, further improving the level of China's independent equipment in the field of mineral resources mining. On September 26th 2024, the "Endeavour" TBM designed and manufactured by NHI created a new record of the world's longest single-machine tunneling of 26.521 kilometers in Xinjiang, demonstrating the strong strength of China's tunnel construction equipment. On December 30th 2024, the world's largest 5.5-meter roll cutting head scissors independently developed and manufactured by Northern Heavy Industries also successfully completed the factory test, indicating that China has taken a solid step in the field of metal cutting.
