Northern Heavy Industry Group Co., Ltd. (hereinafter referred to as "NHI") is a large equipment research and development and manufacturing enterprise under Liaoning Fangda Group Industrial Co., Ltd. (hereinafter referred to as "Fangda Group"). The enterprise was founded in 1921 and formed by the merger and reorganization of the former Shenyang Mining Machinery Factory and Shenyang Heavy Machinery Factory.
It is the first heavy machinery factory in New China to resume production, and has assisted the construction of China First Heavy Industries, China National Erzhong Group Co, Taiyuan Heavy Machinery Group Co., Ltd, Luoyang Mine Machine Factory, China Second Automobile and other enterprises, known as the "cradle of New China's heavy machinery industry".
